In my inconsistent efforts to make Android homescreens in Kustom Live Wallpaper Maker based on video games I'm playing, I present the latest idea I had after playing Doom The Dark Ages Chapter 6 Siege Part 1.
In the introduction to the level, we see Doomguy trying to escape from the grasp of the Makyr's at which one of them tries to use a console to control him. The console itself is my inspiration for this homescreen setup as I thought it looked pretty cool and wanted to see how it would look in a portrait layout vs landscape in the game. This screenshot was my starting point to being my setup.
After a bit of work, I was able to come up with this setup.
- The colors pull from the screenshot above to give the same orange & dark orange hue to all elements. When music is playing, the elements update to pull from the cover art of the track being played.
- The progress bars on the bottom left show music playtime in the outer circle and battery level in the inner circle
- The progress bars on the bottom right show the Wifi level in the outer circle and mobile connection level in the inner circle.
- The icons for app shortcuts are setup to mimic the icons setup on the Makyr console.
- I included weather just because I needed to fill in the space
- The Google/Gemini/Search section in the middle left of the screen is an effort to match the middle section of the Makyr console but make it useful.
- The bars in the middle left of the homescreen is a second effort to fill in an empty space like the weather and be another from of the middle section of the Makyr console.
