Blog - Paypal.Me
Today, Paypal released a new customized donation page for easy money transfers between family and friends or payments for goods and services. The site is called It allows for the creation of a "customized" URL in that a desired name can be selected (i.e. business name, nickname, podcast, etc.) and be used as an easy way to transfer money at little to no cost depending on how the transfer is being done. If you already have a Paypal account, logging in with the same credentials is available, otherwise a new account will need to be created.

After you start the process to get your custom URL, a default setting can be selected if the primary use will be for personal transfers or for goods and services. If it will be a mix, the personal option can be selected as a check box can be selected if goods and services are being paid for. This is of note because certain purchase protections go into effect. Once done, the URL can now be shared just like any other website URL.

The link also has a nice mobile friendly page for transfers on the go. Making a payment also does still require a Paypal account so nothing changes on that side.

On that note, I have setup a Paypal.Me account as well which can be found at The link can also be found on the website as a footnote on the Patreon page. I have set up this option for the following reason. In the event that you do not want to make a recurring monthly donation or are currently unable to do so, this will allow you to donate whatever amount you want to give as a one time donation. This will still go towards purchasing an app, or renting a TV show or film to review but without having to worry about a recurring payment. These donations will not affect the Patron but I am working on a separate form of thank you for helping to support the show.

If you have any questions, you can always e-mail me or DM me on Twitter.
